WorkOrderGuard
Getting data in

Import or connect?

Choosing between CSV imports and platform integrations.

There are two ways to get work order data into WorkOrderGuard, and they are not mutually exclusive — many accounts start with a CSV import and move to an integration later.

CSV imports

You export work order data from your upstream system and upload the files to WorkOrderGuard. Imports are a good fit when:

  • you want to analyze a historical snapshot quickly;
  • your platform has no supported integration yet;
  • you want to evaluate findings before wiring anything up.

See CSV imports.

Platform integrations

A connection to a supported platform such as ServiceChannel ingests your work order data directly. Connections are a good fit when:

  • you want data to keep flowing without manual exports;
  • you plan to analyze work orders on an ongoing basis.

See Connect ServiceChannel.

What stays the same

Either way, the data is normalized into the same unified work order model, uses the same mappings, and is analyzed by the same policy packs. Moving from import to connection later does not change how analysis works.
